ROYAL VISIT FOR HOLLAND SHIPYARDS GROUP'S INNOVATIONS

On January 25, 2024, Holland Shipyards Group had the honor to welcome His Majesty the King and the Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate at the yard in Hardinxveld-Giessendam.

The visit, aligning with the 'Maritime Manufacturing Industry sector agenda', included a tour of the shipyard, showcasing some innovative projects. Among them were the autonomous electric ferry destined for Sweden, a hydrogen-powered vessel for inland waterways, the 3D-printed autonomous ferry designed for the upcoming Paris Olympics, and an aluminum electric ferry.

Post-tour, Holland Shipyards Group facilitated a roundtable discussion that brought together key industry figures. The conversation turned to the Netherlands' maritime manufacturing industry's crucial position, the resilience offered by continuous innovation, the incentives required to attract shipowners to Dutch shores, and strategies to bolster the appeal of the nation's shipbuilding sector.
