Deepwater access and renewed focus on offshore construction

As of January 2019, Holland Shipyards Group has a presence in the Port of Flushing, in the South of The Netherlands. Flushing Marine & Offshore (FMO) provides deepsea berths, quayside, open and covered storage, crane capacity and other forms of labor support that clients can make use of. Specifically FMO aims to service the offshore and offshore renewables industry, amongst others by providing an excellent (de)mobilization yard and possibilities for storage of mission equipment.

“In cooperation with one of our main customers, we decided to take a step forward, and to expand our activities to Flushing.” Says Cor Hoogendoorn, owner of the Holland Shipyards Group. “With this expansion, we create a stronger foothold in the offshore market, and we will be more capable in servicing our current client, for whom we executed a large rig modification project last year. The experience in Flushing was so positive that the decision to stay indefinitely was not a hard one.

With 30.000 sq. meters of covered area and more than 40.000 sq. m of outside space, there still is plenty of space for interested parties. Having facilities such as a large steel workshop, painting and blasting areas and a 750 ton crane definitely makes us a more than complete service provider.

We are already busy with several clients and look forward to welcoming new customers in the coming months”
